This review is from: Bell’O SP-211 Speaker Stands with Cherry Finish Wood Inlay (Electronics)
The base is 8″X8″ in diameter. The top is 5″X5″ in diameter and made from the same steel as the base. The thickness of the steel that they are constructed from is very thin. The center post, which isn’t a post at all, but a thin strip of stamped steel with an angel bracket welded at the bottom and the top of the stand for stability, is very flexible. If it weren’t for the angel brackets they would bend in half. The stands are very unstable on carpet and were designed for small cube shaped speakers at best. Speakers with any height or weight to them will cause the center to flex forward and back and topple over. A very poor design for the money. Not worth $20 let alone the $70 that I paid |
