Absolute garbage, May 31, 2011

Pyle used to be a good name, no longer. I ordered 2 stands, both stands will have to have the ends where they screw into the stand re-tapped, the bolt would not go in on the bottom of one and the top of the other, the threads weren’t tapped all the way thru. Both boxes had loose parts thrown in, looks like there was an attempt to bag the bolts, unsuccessfully. The terrible directions show two pieces of rubber tape to allow the speaker to set on the top without causing vibrations, neither box had these with them.

The stands also aren’t fully adjustable as it says they are, if you want a specific height, you won’t be able o achieve it without drilling the poles. They are set up with a terrible system to let the speaker set at specific heights only. If it wasnt such a pain I would return them, but with some American ingenuity I will get them to work. Bottom line is build your own or spend some money on something American made stands.

JUST DON’T BUY THIS, August 9, 2011

Every aspect of the manufacturing quality of this item is AWFUL!

First, as stated in someone else’s review, the threaded holes on the ends of the vertical tube are bad — to use them, you would actually have to re-tap them, exactly as stated in that other review. I originally thought the person writing the other review was exaggerating, but sadly, the person writing the other review was absolutely right. This thing comes with two screws, one to bolt each end of the vertical tube to one or the other of the top plate and the triangular base, but it’s actually IMPOSSIBLE to put in the screws, so you actually CANNOT assemble this bloody thing!

Second, even if you could somehow force the screws into the threaded holes on each of the vertical tube, and thereby assemble this thing, the pieces making up the triangular base were actually welded together CROOKED. So, even if you could somehow assemble this thing, which cannot be done, you find that the vertical tube won’t stand up straight — it will LEAN in some direction, which will mean that your speaker will be sitting on top of a leaning speaker stand.

Don’t waste your time or money buying this thing, buy some other speaker stand — almost any other speaker stand will do — certainly, no other speaker stand could be built with as poor quality as this!
